Recap of Last Week, and Now Swiping all Home Football Games!

E-mail Print PDF

Hey guys!

We've had a great week here for TallyCats. We were at the men's and women's soccer games last Sunday and both went extremely well. Dynamic Duo couldn't have gone better last Wednesday. The performers were hilarious!

If you didn't get a chance to stop by the State of the University Address and see President Lee Todd Jr. and Student Government President Ryan Smith speak, you missed out on a great opportunity to hear about changes coming to campus. You can watch a video of the address on www.uky.edu/uknow. Women's volleyball on Friday and men's soccer on Sunday went excellently, as well!

This week, we're excited to welcome the author of the 2009 Common Reading Experience book, James McBride, on Thursday, October 1st, 2009 at 7:15 pm. TallyCats also be at the women's soccer games on Friday and Sunday!

BRAND NEW: Starting this Saturday at the UK vs. Alabama game, we will be swiping at every home football game of this season. Please be aware, if you'd like to get swiped, you must arrive 30 minutes PRIOR to kick-off; we want our student section prepared for kick-off by getting there early, being loud, and wearing their UK colors to support our team! Please arrive between 11:30 am-12 pm at Commonwealth to get your card swiped!!

We can't wait to see each and every one of you this week! Send us an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you have any questions.

Dance and Get Loud for DanceBlue and the Cats!

E-mail Print PDF

Hey everyone!

Tonight is the DanceBlue rave from 8-11pm in the Student Center. This is a great opportunity, especially for freshmen, to see what the marathon of DanceBlue will really be like! For 3 hours, you can dance like it's nobody's business with loud music, glowsticks, and everything else you need to make a rave completely legit.

We really would love to see each and every one of you out there tonight! While the event is free, bring some money along and purchase some great DanceBlue swag! All proceeds go to the one and only great cause of DanceBlue -- the Pediatric Oncology Clinic at UK! We'll be swiping beginning at 7:45pm, so be there!

Also, don't forget about the biggest football game of the year tomorrow -- UK vs. Louisville at 12pm in Commonwealth Stadium! Everyone wear your BLUE shirt to create a Sea of Blue. Be sure to jump like crazy during the intro video as well (this is mandatory if you're a real UK fan)! We'll be swiping beginning at 10:30 am -- GET THERE EARLY! Stay the WHOLE game! We need to beat U of L not only in football, but spirit, too! Come early. Be loud. Wear blue!

We can't wait to see each and everyone of you tonight and tomorrow!

Amazing week; more TallyCats events coming up!

E-mail Print PDF

It's only been a week since the launch and we have received an incredible amount of feedback from students, faculty, and staff!  Students can't believe how easy it is to win all kinds of premiere prizes simply by attending campus, organization, and athletic events!

This past weekend UK hosted its annual University Summit Leadership retreat for the top 100 student leaders. The retreat was bursting with some outstanding leadership and it was so exciting to take part in an event that holds so much potential for the future of our campus. TallyCats is actually an idea that was first brought to light during last year's Summit retreat. Student leaders were thrilled about the program and many organization leaders were anxious to use TallyCats for one of their own events. With all the wonderful things said about TallyCats over the weekend, we left feeling great and ready than ever to return to campus!

With the UK v. UofL game this coming weekend, students are teeming with excitement.  You can bet that the TallyCats team will be there at the stadium Saturday before the game to swipe students before getting to their seats.  We're also so excited to see everyone dressed in blue for the annual "Blue-out"!

Our next event is Wednesday, September 16th at Memorial Coliseum -- RFK Jr. comes to UK to discuss the Green Movement!  Bring your WildCard student IDs and don't miss out!

Our very first TallyCats event was tonight!!

The Muslim Student Association's (MSA) Fast-A-Thon 2009 was a great success and we would like to thank them again for allowing us to use this as our starting event! It was so great to see everyone swiping their cards as they entered the Grand Ballroom and a lot of students are already well on their way to winning all kinds of free prizes!!

Don't forget to track your points and look for us at our next event, which is next Wednesday, September 16th at Memorial Coliseum - RFK comes to UK to discuss the future of the world and the Green Movement!  Make sure to come out to enjoy this truly epic event and to earn points towards some great prizes!

See you all soon!

Welcome to TallyCats

Today is the launch!!!

After almost an entire year of hard work and dedication from student leaders across campus, we are so excited to share this program with the rest of the University of Kentucky! All the long (but fun!) hours in the student center were well worth it. TallyCats is a program unlike any other in the nation and truly puts us ahead of all those other big schools, making them wish yet again that they could be as great as the Wildcats of Kentucky.

The best part of TallyCats is that there is absolutely NO catch! Our WildCat ID's are about as crucial as drinking water these days, so it's not like you or I have to put any extra effort into remembering to bring it along. All we want is for students of all grades and all walks of campus to come out, get involved, and to have fun! There is a TallyCats event out there for each and every student, whether it's a campus, organization, or athletic event (C-A-T-S!). TallyCats is made by students for students and it's sole purpose is for you to enjoy everything the University of Kentucky has to offer and to, of course, score allllll kinds of swag!

We hope to see YOU very soon!
